Learning, Research, and Evaluation

The System Exchange uses multiple methods to evaluate systems change efforts.  Our current and recent projects include city-wide and state-wide evaluations of the impact of coalitions.

Our evaluation efforts are client-based.  We pride ourselves on understanding the needs of the organizations and communities with which we work at every phase in the process.  Our aim is to make data useful and accesssible.  Our evaluations are conducted in partnership with the client, from identifying the learning needs of the organization, to the development of data collection processes/instruments, to the format of the reports produced.  We have designed knowledge products for government agencies, grassroots organizations, and academics.

In addition to these formal evaluation projects, all of our capacity-building efforts include an emphasis on continuous learning.  This provides our clients with tools and processes for using real-time data strategically to inform their efforts.
